       In 1891 Mr. Bond was issued a patent for this invention from the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). Ilijah declares its name in these documents as “Ouija - Egyptian luck-board” or Ouija Board as it has become known today. There are 3 documents included with this patent.
